# Using Email Templates

## With Email Templates you can write the follow-up emails that new contacts will receive after connecting with you. You can set a default for every day connections, and create other messages that you can use for events.

### Creating an email template

Only Admins can create and manage email templates

To create your first email template, do the following:

1. Login to your [Company Dashbaord](https://dashboard.stinto.com/login) and navigate to **Follow-Up** **\> Email Templates**
2. Click **New**
3. Now you see a pop-up, where you can enter the following 
     1. **Name:** This is the internal name for the email template, which no new contacts will never see. We recommend an appropriate self explanatory name.
     2. **Subject line:** This will be the first thing your new contacts will see once the follow-up email lands in their inbox. Make it intriguing.
     3. **Message**: This is the body of the email where you can write the message that let new leads and prospects remember you. 
        
        In the lower left corner you can also format, make hyperlinks and even use tokens to personalise the message
     4. **Tokens and formatting:** In the lower left corner you can also format, make hyperlinks and even use tokens to personalise the message. 
        
        Tokens:  
        • The  **Name Token** will use the new contacts first name  
        • The  **Event Name** will use name of the event, the email was used for.

Beware that the Event name token only works if the email template has been selected for an event. If an email with a Event name token is sent out with out being part of an email, the

### Setting a default

If you want a default follow-up email that does out to contacts that are made generally, you can simply click the **default** tickbox.

The materials of the users MyCard will automatically be attached the follow-up email.
