Making connections with Stinto

In this article, you will learn how to exchange your details and make new connections with StintoTap, QR, links and through search.

When you decide to connect with a new contact, there are several easy ways to do so.

You can connect with anyone.

New contacts do NOT need to be a Stinto user for you to exchange contact details.

If you have a StintoTap card exchanging information has never been easier.

 

 

  1. Tap the recipient's phone:
    • iPhones should be tapped at the very top
    • Androids should be tapped on the back

  2. Once read, the recipient can see your card and they can enter their information and send it back to you.

If your card is not immediately read, simply ask your new contact to scan the QR code on the back of the StintoTap instead.

If the recipient is also on Stinto, their app will open and you can connect there.

Exchanging by QR code 

You can exchange contact details and connect by asking the new contact to scan your QR code.

  1. Open your app and press Share Card to get your QR code 
         
  2. Ask the recipient to scan the code
    1. iPhone users simply need to point their camera at the code
    2. Android users need to open their camera and press the scan icon
  3. Once read, the recipient can see your card and they can enter their information and send it back to you.


Using the QR code elsewhere

If you want to include your QR code somewhere online or even on print materials, you can download it when you use Stinto in the browser.

  1. Login on Stinto.com
  2. Click 'Share card'
  3. Download the QR code (or copy the link)

 

Exchanging with links and other services 

You might find yourself wanting to share your card as a link or through another platform or in your email signature. Similarly, we make it easy to share your card through the available apps on your phone. 

  1. Open your app and press Share Card > Other Sharing Options
  2. Now copy the link to use on another platform, or press directly on the platform of your choice.
  3. You'll be taken to the selected paltform to share your link.
  4. When the recipient opens the link they can view your card and enter their information and send it back to you.

 

Exchanging by searching the Stinto network 

You can also find a new contact by searching the Stinto network. Yep, this is just like you do on social media platforms.

  1. In the app go to Contacts
  2. Search by name or title
  3. Find the person and ask them to connect.
  4. You’ll get a notification when they accept.
